To make the bun, I’m using this vanilla tone to always make them the same size I use a cookie cutter to measure the same amount of clay every time I’ll make them I’m rolling the clay into a ball now flatten the ball against your work surface now with the help of a toothbrush , i will add a suddle texture to both sides to add the baked effect, I’m using pastel chalks, in tones from ocher to burnt sienna the application is with a dry brush, add the color until you’re happy with the tone i’m using a pink pastel tone to make the topping. I flatened the clay very thinly with a cookie cutter, i’ll proceed to cut small strips, cut several just in case i’m adding some liquid clay to the bun to stick the clay strips spread the clay with a small brush troughout the surface with the clay strips, I start to create the pattern, this type of bread is a classic mexican type of sweet bread , it’s kinda similar to the japanese melon bun, this process is kinda tedious, oddly enough this is the charm that takes me more time to make Once that’s done, I will add some texture with a rough toothbrush. now with my texturing tool , I’ll proceed to add tecture to all the pink parts once you finish you can bake it, I bake mine for 1 hour at 137°C check the baking instructions on your clay package you can make all the colors you’ll like, check the linked video to learn how to make a beaded keychain Thanks so much for watching, please check the descriptions box if you have any questions.
