MIE Experts | Recognizing Education Innovation

preparing our kids for the globe and the
global world and you have to bring the global world to them in order for that
to happen you can’t have them and just a classroom with the four walls there how
can you get there my name is Julie Henry and I’m a teacher librarian in the
Seattle area years ago I finish my masters degree I
used everything that I’ve learned for that and then I was searching for
something else and that’s when Microsoft innovative educator program started and
that kind of opened up my world and it became my school we are calling to learn
a little bit more about climate change i’m julie from the us- and we are
wondering how do you deal with the long dark winter month only type of where
you’re going to work for teachers internationally and innovative creative
interesting projects at the same place if you did nothing but walk around and
ask people why they’re here you would lead to so much all doing such amazing
stuff and compasses like this you meet other educators and then you can develop
this network where you can bring those people live and the world becomes small and they can
learn from each other if I said I give to someone considering being an end I is
to be free of also the other piece of advice I would give them a call on the
Microsoft educator community site or something tastic resources available on
that site that you can have access to leaders taking chances in your
classrooms I truly love each and every one of you for the work that you do the
inspiration that you have to meet the impact you have on the teens at
microsoft says thank you very much thanks to everyone for joining me too
and have a great day
