“Carpeting” at Joyce–Collingwood Station by Renée Van Halm


The piece we’re talking about is called carpeting And what I’ve done is I’ve pixelated an image of a carpet and taken the colours and changed it into these very big images that work with the existing paving stones in the plaza Public transit stations have always been a great place for public art It gives people a chance in their day-to-day lives to encounter art without going to a museum I want people to feel happy and stimulated to see colour in a public space and to see shape in a public space
